You will gain in

Safety, Confidence, Accuracy and Speed

"Arms in the hands of citizens (may) be used at individual discretion...in private self defense..." -John Adams, A defense of the Constitutions of the Government of the USA, 471 (1788).

Safety comes from doing things right consistently.  Doing things the right way until they are reflexes.

bullet

You'll practice how to safely load and unload your firearm under pressure.

bullet

Safe holster use will become a natural habit.  You will know how to draw your gun swiftly and safely.  You'll know how to return it to its holster without pointing it at your body.

bullet

You'll become adept at retrieving firearm from a drawer, glove box, or nightstand without endangering yourself and others.

bullet

We practice how to correctly use a firearm in different situations.  Situations like rounding a corner, opening a door or using stairs.

bullet

Magazine changes or revolver reloading will become instinctive and quick.  You will know how to clear a jam safely and get your firearm back in operation speedily.

bullet

You will become proficient at shooting with both hands, or either hand.

bullet

You will practice the proper use of cover and how to safely shoot from cover of different types like walls, automobiles, furniture, doors and et cetera.

bullet

Shooting from different positions such as standing kneeling, sitting or prone will become second nature and at no risk to yourself.

You will gain confidence because you will be good at what you are doing.

The simple truth is that the vast majority of criminals rarely practice with firearms.  For instance, most drive-by shootings result in no hits.  Criminal thugs are bullies and if you confront one with a firearm, the confidence you have in yourself will be in your voice when you order them to leave your home or face the consequences.

Your training and practice will pay off if you run into trouble.  That firearm will come out of the drawer and you will be able to use your brain to save your life, not try to figure out if the safety is on or off.

You will lose any fear of firearms.  You will replace that fear with respect.  Fear and panic are the consequence of being faced with a life threatening situation without a plan.

Imagine the desperation you would feel if your child fell in a pool and you don't know CPR.  What do you do?  If you know CPR, you immediately begin a sequence of steps to restore the child's life.  You don't panic because you have knowledge, you practiced, and you can alter the outcome of the situation.

Owning a firearm is like owning a home kitchen fire extinguisher.  It can save your home or your life.  If you read the instructions on the extinguisher and try it on a small fire outside, you'll be ready when the french fry grease torches.

Action Handgun will give you the confidence that drives away fear and panic.

How much practice do you need?  Come out and try Action Handgun every other weekend for a couple of months and then come back 3 or 4 times a year.  The truth is that we think you'll like it so much you'll be there every chance you get.

You will become Accurate and Fast

You probably won't be Annie Oakley.  You will be able to get your firearm into operation and hit a target the size of a television, twenty feet away, in three seconds, every time, without fail.  You will know you're going to hit before you draw the firearm or pull the trigger.

This should not be construed to mean that you should shoot your television, although sometimes you may feel this would improve the programming.  I would recommend that shooting sports on TV remain of the broadcast variety, not audience participation.
